Julia M. Block
VMD – Practice Owner
Dr. Block graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Faculty of Arts and Sciences in 1981, receiving her B.A. in Anthropology. She went on to earn her veterinary degree in 1985 at the University Of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Block is the owner of Hamilton Animal Hospital and has been for 18 years. She is also a member of the AVMA, PVMA, and AAHA and strongly supports the SPCA.
She is an avid supporter of Royce Rescue, a nonprofit organization that finds homes for unwanted cats and dogs. She does work for the Pug Rescue and attends at least two large veterinary conferences each year to provide you and your pets with the latest developments in veterinary medicine and surgery. She enjoys spending time with her husband, David; her daughter Sarah; her two sons, Eric and Sam; her dog Eli; and her two cats, Happy and Sunny. When she is not working, she enjoys running and is an avid tennis player. She loves to read and enjoys theater and fine dining.
VMD – Veterinarian
Dr. Friedman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. She has been a part-time associate at HAH for ten years.
Dr. Friedman is married to Rich and the mother of Josh and Sarah; Judy also has three pets: Shadow, House Guest, and Cosmo. When not working, she enjoys family time and camping.
DVM – Veterinarian
Dr. Fitchett graduated from Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She completed her internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. She has been with HAH for ten years as a part-time associate. Also, she is an active member of AVMA. Before joining the HAH staff, Dr. Fitchett was a Shelter Medical Director at The North Shore Animal League in Port Washington, Long Island.
She is married to John and has two children. Dr. Fitchett can never say no to a homeless critter and is, therefore, the owner of 6 cats, three dogs, six peafowl, 20 Guineas, and numerous chickens.
DVM – Veterinarian
Dr. Katie Bevilacqua was born and raised in Gettysburg, PA. Her love for animals began when Yeller, a Golden Retriever puppy, was added to their family. She first entered veterinary medicine as an assistant at the Gettysburg Animal Hospital. She earned a degree in Biology at Delaware Valley College in 2007. She attended veterinary school at Mississippi State University and graduated in 2011. While in her second year of vet school, she rescued a puppy, Strider, a Lab, Shepherd, and Boxer mix.
She has been practicing veterinary medicine in Bucks county since graduating. She joined the team at Hamilton Animal Hospital in April 2017. She has a particular interest in feline and canine internal medicine. She is also an avid and enthusiastic Flyers and Eagles fan.
CVT – Senior Veterinary Technician / Office Manager
Laurie is the senior veterinary technician and office manager at HAH. Having been with HAH for 19 years, she knows the ins and outs of the practice.
Highly dedicated to the field of veterinary medicine, Laurie is well-respected by the staff and the clientele. Pictured are Dora and Tildy, Laurie’s dogs.
Claudia has been HAH’s bookkeeper since Dr. Block took over the practice 18 years ago.
Rodney is a veterinary assistant at HAH.
He aspires to become either a family physician or a nurse practitioner.
He has two dogs, Bruno and Chino, and a new mastiff puppy, Sire.
Brittney is a veterinary assistant at Hamilton Animal Hospital. She has a cat named Juno and an adorable rat named Riley. She is a recent graduate of Penn State and has aspirations of attending veterinary school.
Pictured is Duke, the best dog in the whole world.
Megan is a veterinary assistant at Hamilton Animal Hospital and helps with receptionist duties. She has a cat, two rats, a hamster, and three beta fish.
Matt recently rejoined the Hamilton staff as a veterinary assistant. He has two dogs and is involved with wildlife rehabilitation.
Veterinary Technician/ Receptionist
Jacqui has been with Hamilton since 2006. She has two Sphynx cats named Gru and BMO. Jacqui also works for a holistic house-call vet in Philly when she is not in Hamilton. She lives with her husband, Kevin, and her daughter Jordan. She loves to ride her motorcycle, rock climb, kayaking, and hiking in her free time.
Cassidy is training to be a veterinary assistant at Hamilton. She has a cat named Heidi.
Wendy is a receptionist at Hamilton Animal Hospital. She has a dog named Rusty and a cat named Tiger.
