My name is Carol Millinghausen and I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer with over 20 years’ experience. I am thrilled to be working with Hamilton Animal Hospital as their trainer. I want to reach out to you to offer my support during this unprecedented time. I am here to help and support you whether you have a new puppy, rescue, foster, or a behavior challenge you’ve been meaning to address. This is the perfect time to work with your dog, connect with others, have fun learning, and truly impact your puppy or dog positively.
I am offering free 15 minute Zoom consultations so we can get to know each other. How can I help you?
New puppy owners may ask, how do I socialize and work with my new puppy during this time of social distancing? Socialization is much more than exposure to new people and dogs. I am here to give you the necessary guidelines for handling and raising a bomb-proof puppy despite the current sanctions. The socialization period is critical and short for our puppies but knowing what to do and how to handle issues that surface can make all the difference long term.
Have an older dog, new adoption, or foster dog? Want to make training a family affair, right from your living room, still in your pajamas? Training can be something fun and informative to do. Maybe you want to try some tricks or tackle a behavior you have been meaning to address. Perhaps you want some manners and obedience training or learn how to build that rocket recall. With most of us at home it may be the perfect time for me to support you via Zoom, online, live sessions. In some cases, we may be able to work outside maintaining distance.
Now is also a good time to prepare for life after the pandemic. Our pets have enjoyed having you home, increased playtime, and perhaps more walks per day now than you can afford them when you return to work. There is likely to be a spike in separation anxiety cases as we return to our lives outside. Let me show you the right steps to take to avoid separation distress. If your dog is already experiencing symptoms, this is the perfect time to help.
Why don’t you schedule your 15 minute, no cost/obligation session today? I am available for private sessions via Zoom. Live, online classes are forming and will be posted soon.
